The 42-year-old supermodel - who was scouted at the age of 14 at JFK airport in New York City - has admitted she told the 'Purple Rain' hitmaker to purchase a skin-tight catsuit when she first met him a few decades ago at a soirée held at Donatella Versace's luxury suite.

Speaking to Net-A-Porter's The Edit about her fashion tips for the late singer - who tragically died at the age of 57 at his Paisley Park estate in Chanhassen, Minnesota, on April 21 - the blonde beauty said: "I sat up and he [Prince] was sitting at the end of the bed.

"I was like 'You should buy one of these catsuits, they're amazing!'"

Meanwhile the other of one - who has 13-year-old daughter Lila Grace Moss Hack with her ex-partner Jefferson Hack - has revealed she doesn't like getting ready for the daytime and prefers to put more thought into what she will wear for a night out.

She explained: "I can't be bothered to get a look together. But at night, I love dressing up. I go all out."

Meanwhile, Kate - who has graced the catwalk for luxury fashion houses Chanel, Burberry and Calvin Klein - has revealed she has a secret wardrobe where she keeps her precious garments, although she intends to hand down some of her fashionable pieces to her daughter in the hope she likes them.

She said: "I've got a special, secret place. I'm not telling or somebody will burgle me.

"I learned the Rolling Stones have an archive and nobody knows where it is, even their children!

"I've lost a lot of stuff over the years, but I've still got some. I'll save it for my daughter. I bought her an Ossie Clark dress, you know the one that Twiggy wore in that Richard Avedon [shoot], that white chiffon with leaves on? She doesn't like anything at the moment. Fingers crossed [she will]."
