Kendall Jenner walking in Marc Jacobs AW14

Kendall Jenner closed New York Fashion Week as she took to the runway for Marc Jacobs.

The 18-year-old model made her high fashion debut yesterday as she unveiled the designer's autumn/winter 2014 collection - during his first solo show since stepping down from his role at Louis Vuitton - and she hopes ending the annual event will help to develop her career.

She said at the show: "I just recently turned 18, so this is my big kick-off to start and grow my career. The New York fashion scene is crazy, madness, but I love the energy. I love everything about it-like the hair and make-up today, it's incredible."

The famous sister of 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' stars Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian took to the cloud-adorned stage in a sheer V-neck top and a blunt, bob-style wig and admitted she didn't recognise herself.

Speaking to Into the Gloss backstage, she said: "I've never had my eyebrows bleached; I don't even look like myself!"

The show had a fairly neutral colour palette, beginning with monochrome and moving on to autumnal shades like moss and rust, with chunky knitwear also featuring heavily in the collection.

Front row spectators included VOGUE editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, model Alexa Chung and singer Joe Jonas.
