The 17-year-old - whose mother Rasheda Ali Walsh is the daughter of the boxing legend and his second wife Belinda Boyd - has publicly announced his partnership with Wilhelmina Models via social media on Tuesday (14.06.16).

The teen starlet tweeted: "So excited that I signed with Wilhelmina Models! Thank you and I'm excited to work with you guys! @Wilhelmina (sic)."

Biaggio will join singer songwriter Nick Jonas, 'Cool for the Summer' hitmaker Demi Lovato and Victoria's Secret Model Devon Windsor who are signed to the Dallas-based agency, which was founded in 1967.

Meanwhile, Biaggio credits himself with the same sporting excellence as his late grandparent - who died on June 3 from septic shock aged 74 - and has been labelled the fastest athlete on the American football pitch.

Speaking about the traits he shares with Muhammad, who he nicknamed Poppy, in a video for Bleacher Report, he said: "I think the similarities with me and my grandfather on the field would be speed."

And his high school coach has labelled Biaggio a double threat.

He said: "Biaggio is one of the fastest kids in the country.

"He has one of the fastest 40-yard dashes in the United States of America."

Meanwhile, the body of the sporting icon was buried at Cave Hill Cemetery in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, on Friday (10.06.16) afternoon, ahead of a public memorial service taking place later in the day.

A private service was held for family and close friends at A D Porter & Sons funeral home earlier in the day, and thousands of fans lined the streets as a procession of black Cadillacs followed the car carrying Ali's body in a cherry red coffin, which was draped with an Islamic shroud, through the town.

The procession took the same route the legendary boxer's victory parade did in 1960, when he celebrated winning a gold medal at the Rome Olympics.
