Naomi Campbell finally feels comfortable posing in lingerie.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell has admitted she feels more comfortable showing off her body in her 40s than she did in her younger years.

Naomi Campbell has admitted she feels more comfortable showing off her body in her 40s than she did in her younger years.

The 44-year-old who was recently unveiled as the new face of Agent Provocateur - has confessed the advertising campaign pictures are the first time she hasn't felt awkward modelling in underwear.

She said: "I would never have dreamt I'd be doing this at 44. When I was younger and did lingerie shoots, I never felt comfortable.

"I was awkward and shy about showing my body that way. It's taken me to get to this age to feel comfortable in a lingerie shoot - in fact, I think this is the first time I've ever truly felt comfortable with it."

Naomi believes women should always wear "beautiful" underwear, and to do so for themselves rather than to be sexy for other people.

She told Grazia magazine: "Lingerie is quite personal. Women should always wear beautiful lingerie, especially if it makes you feel sexy and feminine.

"It's not just about getting dressed for a man. You have to put yourself first and foremost."

Naomi credits her enviable figure to diet, pilates, yoga and a positive attitude.

She said: "I try to eat correctly and do pilates and yoga because I want to look and feel my best. It's about the mind as well as the body - mind, body and spirit. If you feel good, you look good."
