Stella McCartney

Stella McCartney has not only clothing collection to be proud of, they're also selling incredibly well too.

The designer's profits rose by 19% last year, with ready-to-wear, accessories, evening wear and children's wear being the top-performing categories.

Stella has seen takings soar to £3.4 million in the year ending December 31 as well as sales increasing from 22.8 per cent to 25.8.

According to WWD, a new fragrance launch has influenced the rise, while ready-to-wear, accessories, evening wear and children's wear were the top-performing categories.

Meanwhile, Stella most recently swapped the catwalk for the gym at London Fashion Week, where she unveiled her latest women's sportswear collection for adidas in a gym setting, which saw gymnasts and athletes showing off her functional designs on the treadmill and in glass water tanks.

She explained after the show in Bloomsbury, central London, last week: "Some people just wear black on black, put their head down and get on with their sport and then get changed. To me this is a celebration of who you are when you're working out, and not sacrificing in any way your style."

The brand has also teamed up with Coutt to produce a range of headscarves that will be given to chemotherapy patients at King's College Hospital in London over the next year.
