It started with a theory from a Twitter user on Saturday, and it’s sent trainer-lovers into a complete frenzy.

Who knew a tweet about Vans could send social media into such a frenzy?

Who knew a tweet about Vans could send social media into such a frenzy?

When @Ibelievthehype tweeted a video suggesting that ‘no matter how you throw your Vans they will land facing up’ everyone had a go in the replies - and the spooky thing is, it seems to be true.

The tweet has attracted a lot of attention - over 54 thousand retweets and 140 thousand likes, in fact. And the replies section is just as entertaining as the tweet itself - seeming to prove the theory that throwing a pair of Vans will always result in them landing facing upright, right.

One user, however, noticed that throwing one shoe on its own disproved the theory, with another hilariously pointing out that this was because it was a singular ‘Van’ - since it’s on its own, of course.

Another excited Twitter user was so intrigued by the theory, they even stopped what they were doing at work and tested it for themselves, again noticing how the Vans did in fact land the right way up.

We are yet to hear from Vans to confirm whether the fashionable kicks are actually magic or whether this is a bizarre coincidence, but in the meantime, we’re just going to enjoy the weirdly satisfying thread...

Try it for yourself and let us know the result!
