Afternoon Tea: You can’t go wrong with an afternoon tea and they are popping up everywhere so there is bound to be one near you. Or if you want to push the boat out- you could always arrange it somewhere that is renowned for it’s afternoon teas like Betty’s Tea Room or The Ivy.

Hamper: If you know them well enough to recognise their favourites when it comes to food and drink- why not put together a hamper containing everything they can’t get enough of? Their favourite coffee, chocolate, wine, spirit, biscuits, crackers will go down well as it means they don’t have to go out and buy it themselves for a few weeks.

A restaurant voucher: If they frequent a particular chain of restaurants- you could get them a voucher for here and you never know- they might just take you along to say thank you! Or get them a voucher for an independent they’ve never been to before to encourage them to mix it up a little.

Cheese and wine tasting experience: Again, if you do your research you are bound to find one that’s not too far away from where you live. What better way to spend a day than getting a little bit tipsy and eating lots of cheese?! Heaven!

A cooking class: If they love to eat out and buy fancy food- but don’t really know how to cook it at home- this could be the perfect gift to kick start their new hobby. You can sign them up for classes that are more tailored to them so consider if they are vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, can’t get enough of sushi, adore pizza, have a sweet tooth, or love food from a particular country and you can opt for whichever one suits them the most.

A chocolate making workshop: If your foodie friend or family member can’t get enough of the sweet stuff, this could be their ideal day out. There are plenty of classes online, so book them in to enjoy a day of smelling, eating and making chocolate. Plus, they will get to take their creations home- that is if they don’t eat it all before they’re done!

A lunch cruise: If the foodie in your life enjoys eating new food in a different setting every time they dine- this could be one for them. You could seek out your most local lunch cruise and let them enjoy good food while taking in spectacular scenery. A meal that won’t be forgotten in a hurry!
