Bradley Cooper

Bradley Cooper

Since Bradley Cooper took the role of Phil Wenneck in The Hangover back in 2009 he has become one of the hottest properties in Hollywood.

Over the last couple of years he has become quite the heartthrob as well as one of the most in demand stars.

And he is back on the big screen this week as he teams up with Robert De Niro and Abbie Cornish for the big screen adaptation of novel The Dark Fields.

Cooper kicked off his career back in 1999 when he appeared as Jake in Sex and the City before going onto The Street, Miss Match and Touching Evil.

But by 2001 the big screen had come knocking, making his debut in Wet Hot American Summer, before going onto My Little Eye.

Bigger roles in Wedding Crashers and Failure To Launch as he mixed his movies with TV work such as Law & Order and Jack & Bobby.

But 2001 also brought him a major TV role as he took on the part of Will Tippin in Alias - going on to star ion forty six episodes up to 2006.

However it was to be The Hangover that proved to be the launch pad for his career as he starred alongside Ed Helms, Zach Galifinakis and Justin Bartha in the Todd Philips directed comedy.

A Las Vegas-set comedy centred around three groomsmen who lose their about-to-be-wed buddy during their drunken misadventures, then must retrace their steps in order to find him.

The movie was a massive hit and went on to take in excess of $467 million at the global box office - not bad for a movie that was made on a budget for $35 million.

The Hangover won over the critics and went on to pick up a Best Motion Picture - Musical of Comedy Golden Globe.

Cooper didn't quite hit the mark with his next movie All About Steve but went on to enjoy success as part of the ensemble cast of Valentine's Day.

Last summer he was back on the big screen as he took on the role of Templeton Peck in a remake of the A-Team, which also starred Liam Neeson and Sharlto Copley.

Despite being a fun popcorn movie The A-Team received mixed reviews upon release and went on to only make $176 million at the box office.

Limitless is the actor's latest project, which sees him work with filmmaker Neil Burger.

Out-of-work writer Eddie Morra's (Cooper) rejection by girlfriend Lindy (Abbie Cornish) confirms his belief that he has zero future.

That all vanishes the day an old friend introduces Eddie to MDT, a designer pharmaceutical that makes him laser focused and more confident than any man alive.

Now on an MDT-fueled odyssey, everything Eddie's read, heard or seen is instantly organized and available to him.

As the former nobody rises to the top of the financial world, he draws the attention of business mogul Carl Van Loon (De Niro), who sees this enhanced version of Eddie as the tool to make billions.

But brutal side effects jeopardize his meteoric ascent. With a dwindling stash and hit men who will eliminate him to get the MDT, Eddie must stay wired long enough to elude capture and fulfil his destiny.

Limitless has already topped the American box office over the weekend and looks set to enjoy huge success here in the UK.

And 2011 looks set to be a great year for the actor as he will reprise the role of Phil this May as he returns in The Hangover Part II.

Bradley, Ed, Zach and Justin are back, as is director Todd Philips, as they are all set to create havoc in Bangkok.

The comedy is one of the most anticipated movies of the year and looks set to enjoy just as much success at the first.

Limitless is released 25th March.
