Bruce Willis in Looper

Bruce Willis in Looper

Bruce Willis movies have been somewhat of a constant on the big screen so far this year and he is back this week with his new film Looper.

Looper sees him team up with Joseph Gordon Levitt and director Rian Johnson and is one of the most highly anticipated movies of the autumn.

But 2012 has been an action packed year for Willis with role in The Cold Light of Day and The Expendables 2.

While The Cold Light of Day struggled at the box office The Expendables 2 has been one of the beast action movies of the year so far.

The film saw Willis reprise the role of Church for what proved to be a bigger role second time around - teaming up with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone to kick some ass.

But there was a complete change of pace earlier this year when he joined the ensemble cast of Moonrise Kingdom - which has been one of the biggest critical hits the year so far.

Edward Norton, Bill Murray and Tilda Swinton were just some of the other names that starred alongside Willis in the latest Wes Anderson comedy/drama.

And if you think that 2012 has been an action packed year for Willis then it is nothing compared to what is coming in 2013.

Willis is set to be one of the new faces on the cast list for G.I. Joe: Retaliation as he teams up with Dwayne Johnson to kick some life into the franchise.

It was back in 2009 that G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra hit the big screen but did struggle with audiences and critics - however they are giving it another shot.

But the movie that ever Willis fan is looking forward to next year is A Good Day To Die Hard as he takes on the ole of John McClane for the fifth time.

McClane remains the most iconic role of Willis' career so far and it continues to be a major box office draw.

This time around McClaine teams up with his son, played by Jai Courtney, as the tackle local forces in Russia.

The movie promises to be action packed from start to finish as Willis works with director John Moore for the very first time.

And as if that wasn't enough ass kicking for one actor he is currently Red 2 where he will be reprising the role of Frank Moses.

Willis, Helen Mirren and John Malkovich return as the retired CIA agents that still pack a punch as they find themselves back in action once again.

But back to this week and Willis is tracking down the bad guy once again in Looper - the must see sci-fi film of the year.

Willis and Levitt play young and older versions of the same character who come face to face when Willis is set back to the past to be killed by his younger self.

This movie is being likened to Inception and The Matrix and it is also being talked about as a possible Best Picture Oscar nominee.

Looper is released 28th September
