A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas

A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas

It is the stockings hung by the chimney with care, presents tucked under the tree, and a bounty of Christmas movies on the tube that make a real Christmas.

Which movies epitomize the holiday spirit? Let’s check out the movies on wide release over Christmas 2011 that will give you, your friends and your family a good laugh. Hope this movie list will be the little something extra in your stocking this year.

1. A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas

Genre: Comedy
Director: Todd Strauss-Schulson
Stars: Kal Penn, John Cho and Neil Patrick Harris

Harold Lee and Kumar Patel cause a holiday fracas by inadvertently burning down Harold’s father-in-law’s prize Christmas tree.

To fix the problem, they embark on a mission through New York to find the perfect replacement, stumbling into trouble at every turn. Kal Penn quit showbiz a couple of years ago to take up a post as Obama’s associate director of public engagement.

Well, now he’s back. Neil Patrick Harris returns as Neil Patrick Harris. Both Harold & Kumar movies have got great moments/sequences but neither have been consistently funny.

Here the same writers are still on board but the director is new to movies. Critics say this is just about the best of the series, with a slightly sweeter and more surrealistic tone, even if the laughs remain a bit hit and miss.

Mumble has no hope of competing with this charismatic new role model. But things get worse when the world is shaken by powerful forces.

Genre: Animation | Comedy | Family
Director: James Bobin
