Kristen Stewart

The name Kristen Stewart is on everybody's lips once again as Twilight Saga: eclipse is just days away from a UK release, much to the excitement of all of the fans.

The movie sees Stewart return to the role of Bella Swan, a role that has made her a household name, for the third time as Eclipse follows on from the success that New Moon enjoyed in November last year.

This time around Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge.

In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob -- knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the struggle between vampire and werewolf.

With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life.

Stewart kicked off her acting career at the age of eight but it was her performance in Panic Room alongside Jodie Foster in 2002 that caught the attention of may.

Since then her career has steadily grown as she appeared in the likes of Zathura, Into The Wild and What Just Happened, starring alongside some of the biggest names in movies including Tim Robbins, Robert De Niro and Sean Penn.

But it was her 2008 role in the big screen adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's novel Twilight that shot her to superstardom.
She took on the central role of Bella Swan, a high school student who falls in love with vampire Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson.

The story is told from the point of view of Bella as she moves to the small town of Forks, Washington from Phoenix, Arizona to live with her father.

The movie chronicled her growing relationship with Edward until a sadistic vampire decides to hunt her and her life is put in danger.

The movie received mixed reviews from the critics but it went on to be a box office success grossing over $379 million at the global box office.

She returned to the role of Bella with the release of New Moon and is left with a broken heart when Edward leaves her.
Enter Jacob Black, a member of the Quilite tribe who manages to bring some joy and meaning back into Bella's life. However as the two become closer, Bella discovers Jacob has a secret of his own.

As if that wasn't bad enough Bella can't seem to get the love of her life, Edward out of her mind.

Frenzy has surrounded this release for months and New Moon has become the biggest pre-release movie of all time with fans flocking to the box office to book their seat in cinemas in the opening days of the film's release.

By the time the movie finished it's theatrical run it had grossed over $700 million worldwide and was on of the biggest grossing movies of 2009, as well as seeing Stewart bag an Orange Rising Star Bafta.

Away from the Twilight Saga the young actress returned to the big screen earlier this summer with comedy-drama Adventureland, which was well met by the critics.

Later this year she will reunite with Dakota Fanning in The Runaways, a biopic picture about the groundbreaking girl band, in which she takes on the role of Joan Jett.

Stewart is also set to star in K-11 and On The Road as well as return to the The Twilight Saga for the final time with Breaking Dawn, which will be split into two movies.
