The Knot

The Knot

The wedding movie is one of the most popular film genres and it returns to the big screen this week in the form of The Knot.

The movie sees Noel Clarke back on writing duties and he has delivered a charming and witty script that is set in the space of one wedding day.

And we have some clips from the movie for you to enjoy:

Clarke has penned the script and stars in the movie but he has left directing duties to first time filmmaker Jesse Lawrence.

Lawrence has been behind a whole host of shorts, TV and documentary projects in the last few years but The Knot sees him helm a movie for the very first time.

And what a cast he has assembled for that first movie as Clarke is joined by Talulah Riley, Mena Suvari, Matthew McNulty and Susannah Fielding.

Soulmates Alexandra (Riley) and Jeremy (McNulty) are getting married. At least that's the plan.

Unfortunately for them, nonchalant best man Peter (Clarke), bridesmaid Sarah (Suvari) and an army of naysayers haven't heard they're meant to be together.

Can missing bridesmaids, crashed cars, a trip to A&E, and a delivery of pigs testicles stand in the way of true love?

The Knot is released 5th October
