Step Up 3 will be dancing it's way to the top of your Christmas wish list when it is released on DVD and Blu-ray on 29th November from Universal Pictures International Entertainment.

In the latest instalment of the hugely successful Step Up franchise, New York dance crew, The Pirates, must win the World Street Dance Championships or face losing everything they know and love.

Lead by super hot BFABB dancer Luke (Rick Malambri; Surrogates, Criminal Minds), The Pirates live for dance. They work hard and play hard at The Vaults, a huge warehouse space that is their home and dance space with an impressive BoomBox wall and fresh-from-the-factory trainer room.

But The Pirates risk losing The Vaults forever unless they can dance their way to the top.

1. Chicago (2002)

Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart are two murderesses on death row who use their crimes to achieve fame. The hope to be proved innocent and then become famous actresses.

The movie stars Catherine Zeta-Jone, who picked up a Best Supporting Actress for her performance, Renee Zellweger and Richard Gere.

The movie went on to pick up Best Picture at the Oscars.

2. Saturday Night Fever (1977)

Tony Manero is an Italian - American who spends his Saturday nights on the dance floor. He hopes to achieve fame by winning dance competition.

The film stars John Travolta, in what has become one of his most famous roles, and Karen Lynn Gorney.

With a great soundtrack from the Bee Gees the movie remains a classic.

Type of dance: Disco.

3. Flashdance (1983)

Alex is a welder living in Pittsburgh, PA. Her goal is to be accepted into the prestigious Pittsburgh Conservatory of Dance and Reperetory.

However, her lack of dance training discourages her to audition. The film is remembered by the public mainly because of its music, hairstyles and dancing.

It stars Jennifer Beals and Michael Nouri.

Type of dance: Modern jazz, breakdancing.

4. Save The Last Dance (2001)

After her mother's death, ballet dancer Sara has moved to Chicago to live with her father. She soon meets Derek, who introduces her to the hip hop life.

After they become involved, Derek help Sara out in training for a dance audition, The movie stars Julia Styles and Sean Patrick Thomas.

Type of dance: Ballet and Hip hop.

5. Footloose (1984)

Ren McCormack has moved from Chicago to a small town. Whilst there he learns that the town banned rock music and dance.

He decides to rebel and make dance legal again before his senior prom. The movie stars Kevin Bacon, Lori Singer and John Lithgow.

Type of dance: Cheesy 80s contemporary.

6. Step Up (2006)

Tyler Gage comes from the wrong side of the tracks and he knows that the only way to get out is to dance his way out.

Nora attends the elite Maryland School of the Arts and the only thing preventing her from making it big is her lack of a dance partner.

The two pair up to help each others dreams and fall in love. The movies was such a success it was followed by two sequels.

It stars Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan.

7. Dirty Dancing (1987)

While spending the summer in the Catskills mountains of New York, Frances (Baby) has to fill in for a pregnant dancer.

She falls in love with her partner Johnny Castle, much to the unhappiness of her father, and discovers what 'dirty dancing' is.

The film stars Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey.

Type of dance: Ballroom and 'dirty'

8. West Side Story (1961)

Tony, a Jet, has fallen in love with Maria, a sister of a Shark. In the backdrop, the Sharks and the Jets are two rival teenage gangs of the West Side of New York City.

They continuously battle each other through dance. Considered to be a movie classic. The movie stars Natalie Wood and Richard Beymer.

Type of dance: Modern jazz, Broadway.

9. Billy Elliot (2001)

Billy is an eleven year old boy who lives with his blue collar father. He loves to dance and wishes to be a professional dancer.

However, his family does not approve of his love. So Billy must choose between listening to his father or aspiring to be who he wants to be.

The film stars Jamie Bell, Julie Walters.

Type of dance: Ballet.

10. Singin' In The Rain (1952)

Don Lockwood is a famous silent film star. He falls for chorus girl Kathy Selden. At the same time he is trying to avoid his onscreen partner Lina Lament.

Lina believes there is an off-screen romance when in reality one does not exist. A pure classic, the movie stars Gene KElly, Debbie Reynolds and Donald O'Connor.

Type of dance: Tap, lyrical, ballroom, jazz, broadway.
