If you are looking for a movie that boasts an incredibly impressive British cast then you need to look no further than Blood.

Paul Bettany, Stephen Graham, Mark Strong and Brian Cox have all made some terrific movies throughout their careers and yet seeing them all together is very exciting.

They are some of the best British acting talent making movies at the moment and this psychological thriller looks set to show them all off at their best.

The movie will be hitting the big screen next Friday but we have the fantastic new trailer for you to take a look at:

The movie marks the return to the director’s chair for Nick Murphy for what is his first movie since horror flick The Awakening.

Blood is only Murphy’s second feature film at the helm after he kicked off his career and honed his skills in TV.

Bill Gallagher is also aboard the project as he has penned the script; he has written for the likes of The Prisoner, Lark Rise to Candleford and Conviction in recent years.

Joe (Bettany) and Chrissie (Graham) are both respected police detectives under pressure to live up to the reputation of their father, Lenny (Cox) who ran the department for years and was a key figure in the local community.

Once a bully to both his colleagues and sons, Lenny is now in the midst of the onset of dementia and is drifting away from his sons. However, Joe and Chrissie's desire to fill his shoes has some terrible consequences, and soon they find themselves investigating their own crime.

The fear of being caught by their close friend and colleague Robert (Strong) is nothing compared to the fractures this causes in the brothers' relationships and in their own minds.

Chrissie is consumed by his own conscience while Joe becomes delusional and terrified of what this might do to his beloved family; a family that his father raised him to protect at all costs....

There are a whole host of British movies on the horizon that we should be excited about such as The World’s End, A Field in England and About Time and Blood is just one of them.

Blood is released 31st May
