We are counting the days until Bridge of Spies hit the big screen here in the UK as it promises to be one of the best war dramas that we are going to be treated to this year.

Bridge of Spies

Bridge of Spies

It will be the end of November when we finally get to see Bridge of Spies and it will mark the return of Steven Spielberg to the director's chair - it always exciting when a Spielberg movie is on the horizon.

Bridge of Spies is the first feature film for Spielberg since the huge critical success of Lincoln back in 2013 and it is always great to see him back at the helm. The movie will mark the fourth director/actor collaboration between Spielberg and Tom Hanks and comes after Saving Private Ryan, Catch Me If You Can, and The Terminal.

Bridge of Spies is one of the November movies that we cannot wait to see here at FemaleFirst and we have a fantastic and exclusive clip for you to take a look at, which sees Hanks take centre stage:

The movie premiered at the New York Film Festival at the beginning of the month and is already being tipped as a potential Oscar contender. Don't be surprised to see Hanks and Mark Rylance in the mix for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor as their performances have already been winning over the critics.

A terrific cast has been assembled for the film, as Hanks and Rylance are joined by Amy Ryan, Alan Alda, Austin Stowell, and Sebastian Koch.

Bridge Of Spies is a dramatic thriller which tells the story of James Donovan (Hanks), a Brooklyn insurance claims lawyer who finds himself thrust into the centre of the Cold War when the CIA sends him on the near-impossible task to negotiate the release of a captured American U-2 pilot.

During his career, Spielberg has delivered some wonderful war dramas but this is the first time that we have seen him tackle the Cold War on screen... it is promising to be another triumph from the filmmaker.

Bridge of Spies is released 27th November.
