Jennifer Garner in The Odd Life of Timothy Green.

She may be known for her more recent role of Mom to three gorgeous children with Ben Affleck but in her more glamorous life Jennifer Garner stars as Cindy Green in the new Walt Disney film The Odd Life of Timothy Green.

As the film opens in UK cinemas this Friday we take a look at her most memorable roles to date.

Juno

Here Jennifer played Vanessa, a young woman longing to be a mother and starring opposite Jason Bateman and Ellen Page.

Juno was a refreshing comedy-drama that followed an independent teenage school girl, Juno, suddenly thrust into the adult world of pregnancy and decision making.

The film went on to win an Oscar and received critical acclaim around the globe.

Alias

Possibly Jennifer’s most memorable role to date, as top secret CIA agent Sydney Bristow, which saw Garner go on to win both a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award.

With a life span of five series that allegedly saw Jennifer’s salary rocket from a healthy $45k per episode to an impressive $150k per episode.

The Odd Life of Timothy Green

The latest in a string of unforgettable roles, Jennifer Garner joins Joel Edgerton to play Cindy and Jim Green, a young couple from the American town of Stanleyville, who can only dream of having a child of their own.

The Odd Life of Timothy Green is an enchanting and magical Walt Disney film directed by Academy Award- nominated Peter Hedges that opens in the UK this week.

Daredevil

Donning a black leather outfit to play Elektra Natchios alongside her now husband Ben Affleck in the comic adaptation of Daredevil, this became Jennifer’s cinematic breakthrough role and despite mixed reviews the film went on to be a box office hit.

When Garner became entangled in wires during a daring stunt, Affleck leapt to her rescue leading Jennifer to describe him as her ‘own hero’.

The Invention of Lying

Featuring our very own Ricky Gervais, Jennifer Garner starred as the wealthy and beautiful Anna McDoogles, who agrees to go on a date with Gervais’s Mark Bellison.

With Gervais a man with the ability to lie in a world where lying doesn’t exist. Over a meal, Anna hits Mark with some pretty blunt remarks regarding his looks and status in life.

Mark faces an uphill struggle attempting to turn his life around and win over the charming Anna resulting in lies that get completely out of hand.

Pearl Harbour

Starring alongside future husband Ben Affleck for the first time, Garner’s role as a nurse in this epic WWII drama was small but significant since the film went on to be a global box office success.

Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer the film was also directed and produced by another power house of cinema, Michael Bay.

13 Going On 30

Another of her memorable movie roles comes in the form of 13 Going On 30 where she plays Jenna Rink - a thirteen year old girl who find herself in a thirty year old body.

The movie was released back in 2004 and showed a more playful side to Garner as an actress - the Thriller dance being a particular moment that stands out.

Gary Winick was in the director's chair for the film while Mark Ruffalo, Judy Greer, Andy Serkis and Kathy Bates were all on the cast list.

Other Jennifer Garner movies to watch out for include The Kingdom, Ghost of Girlfriends Past and Valentine's Day.

The Odd Life of Timothy Green is released 5th April.
