Kick Ass 2

Kick Ass 2

Here are at the beginning of the top there Worst Movies of 2013, as we close in on our #1 movie.

We have already looked back over some truly terrible films, and now it is time to shine the spotlight on Kick Ass 2.

Kick Ass was released back in 2010 and we a triumph of a superhero movie... three years later the highly anticipated sequel hit the big screen.

However, Kick Ass 2 was a MAJOR disappointment, as everything that made the first film so fantastic was lost.

Kick Ass 2 really has been the movie that has disappointed me the most in 2013, as it doesn't come anywhere close to being as good as the first film.

You almost get the feeling that they have made the film for the sake of making it, as it just falls completely flat.

The story is totally and utterly uninspiring - a group of wannabe superheroes team up to go around and fight people; that is about as deep as it gets.

The humour and punchy dialogue of the first film is just gone, instead there is just an occasional splattering of humour, and we are left with a story that is just nasty.

We are introduced to a whole host of characters, and yet not a single one of them is memorable in any way; they certainly don't make the impact that the likes of Hit Girl and Big Daddy did in the first film.

The movie even manages to ruin the character of Hit Girl. Hit Girl was the role that made Chloe Moretz a star and made audience sit up and take notice.

The all action chick is not the same this time around, as we are dragged through a storyline of her trying to be a normal teenager.

What made Hit Girl so fantastic is she didn't give a s***t, and all that has totally been lost.

Now, Kick Ass didn't need a sequel, but I was excited to hear that one was going ahead.

We were left with a rich number of characters at the end of that first film that this second movie could have gone in a whole host of different and exciting directions.

However, to see this film become a half-baked, pale imitation of the first is really very sad. This was one of the worst experiences I have had in the cinema this year.
