I have been a huge fan of Tim Burton for many years and it is always exciting when he has a film on the horizon… his new movie comes in the form of Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children and will hit the big screen in the UK in the autumn.

Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Ransom Riggs and has been adapted in a screenplay by Jane Goldman, who has penned screenplays for X-Men: First Class, Kick Ass and, most recently, Kingsman The Secret Service.

It is always great when Burton is back in the director's chair and Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children is his first feature film since Big Eyes back at the end of 2014. However, we are going to have to wait until the autumn for his latest film to hit the big screen.

We are yet to see the first trailer for Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children, but a set of terrific new images have been unveiled and we have them for you to take a look at:

Eva Green takes on the title role of Miss Peregrine as she reunites with the filmmaker, they first worked together on Dark Shadows back in 2012 - I am looking forward to seeing the actress and director working together again.

The cast is a mix of established talent and upcoming stars as Samuel L. Jackson, Asa Butterfield, Allison Janney, Ella Purnell, Judi Dench, Chris O'Dowd, Terence Stamp, Milo Parker, and Pixie Davies are just some of the names on board.

When his beloved grandfather leaves Jake clues to a mystery that spans different worlds and times, he finds a magical place known as Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. But the mystery and danger deepen as he gets to know the residents and learns about their special powers…and their powerful enemies. Ultimately, Jake discovers that only his own special "peculiarity" can save his new friends.

Burton has delivered some unforgettable films and characters over the years and Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children really does promise to follow on that fine tradition. Burton has a knack for developing interesting characters and fascinating worlds in his film and I am looking forward to seeing where he transports us to next.

Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children is released autumn 2016.
