A Christmas Carol has ended This Is It's one week reign at the top spot as it snatched the number one spot at the UK box office.
With a gross of £1.9 million the Jim Carrey voice led movie is just the latest animation to find major success at cinemas, also topping the charts in the States this week.
Based on Charles Dickens' famous story the movie is an animated retelling of the classic novel about a Victorian-era miser taken on a journey of self-redemption, courtesy of several mysterious Christmas apparitions.
This Is It fell to number two after just a week at the top while Up also dropped one place from two to three after five weeks on the chart.
Two new entries rounded off the top five as George Clooney's latest film The Men Who Star At Goats opened at four, it's the first of two movies Clooney has inside of the top six.
Paranormal thriller The Fourth Kind was also a new entry at five. Fantastic Mr Fox fell three places from three to six while Jennifer's Body opened at seven.
Starring Megan Fox Jennifer's Body is the latest movie from Diablo Cody, she penned the script, who was behind the Oscar winning Juno back in 2007.
