Ben Stiller

Ben Stiller

Ben Stiller wanted to work on his latest movie Greenberg because it was written and directed by Noah Baumbach.

Stiller takes on the central role of Roger Greenberg, a New Yorker moves to Los Angeles in order to figure out his life while he housesits for his brother, and he soon sparks with his brother's assistant.

Speaking to Access Hollywood the actor said: "Noah's a great filmmaker and basically anything he would have sent me I would have done."

"And I think he wrote a very specific, complicated movie about real people. And his characters are always so interesting.

"He just writes really, really interesting characters and they're character-oriented movies, so any chance to work with him..."

Greenberg is the first time we have seen Stiller on the big screen since last year's Night At The Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian.

The actor stars alongside Greta Gerwig for whom he had nothing but praise: I think she's just this amazing actress. She's an amazing comedic actress, she's got this beautiful spirit.

"She's incredibly self-assured at a young age and she's a really great person and I think it's exciting to be in a movie with her that's gonna introduce her to a lot of people."
