Bruce Willis has described A Good Way To Die Hard as a 'risk' as well as a 'challenge'.

The actor is set to reprise the role of John McLane in a fifth movie in the Die Hard franchise, which is set to hit the big screen next month.

This time around the actor teams up with Jai Courtney, who will play his son, as they battle bad guys in Russia.

Speaking to The Huffington Post the actor said: The risk is more [with A Good Day to Die Hard]... I guess it's a personal challenge.

"There are gaps of time between each movie. It's a kind of ageist tryptic: 'Oh, OK, now I'm this age', and trying to tell that action movie, Die Hard theme -- but I'm a little older."

"[I think to myself] 'How fast can I run? How well can I fight?' So that's a challenge and, you know, it's a fun thing to do.

"There's a story, if you look at all of them from the first film to the one we just did. And you see me age over these films - that has its own interest to me."

It is the first Die Hard movie for Willis since Die Hard 4 back in 2007 but this time around it is John Moore who is in the director's chair.

But it seems that we are going to be seeing plenty of action movies for Willis as he is also set to star in G.I. Joe: Retaliation next year.

The actor is also currently filming Red 2.

A Good Day To Die Hard is released 14th February.
