Couples Retreat
Couples Retreat stormed to the top of the U.S. box office this weekend ending Zombieland's reign.
Starring Vince Vaughn, Kristen Bell, Jason Bateman and Jon Favreau and centres around four couples who settle into a tropical-island resort for a vacation. While one of the couples is there to work on the marriage, the others fail to realize that participation in the resort's therapy sessions is not optional.
Couples Retreat was the only new entry inside the top ten this week.
With a gross over $35 million in it's opening weekend the movie comfortably beat Zombieland in second spot as comedy dominated the top of the box office.
Despite losing the top spot this week the Woody Harrelson movie still grossed $15 million in it's second week.
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Toy Story/Toy Story 2 3D both fell one place to finish at three and four. Paranormal Activity jumped a mammoth fifteen places from twenty to round off the top five.
The biggest faller this week came in the form of the all singing all dancing Fame which fell three places from seven to complete the top ten.
