Forest Whitaker is set to return to the big screen next year in his new movie The Butler.

Directed by Lee Daniels the movie is set to focus on a White House butler who has served eight Presidents over the course of thirty years.

The movie is based on an Washington Post article by Wil Haygood and Daniels has adapted that for the big screen.

Whitaker will take on the title role of Cecil Gaines and he is joined on the cast list by John Cusack (playing Richard Nixon), Robin Williams (Dwight Eisenhower), Alan Rickman (Ronald Reagan) and James Marsden (John F. Kennedy).

The Butler is just one of the movies that the Oscar winning actor has in the pipeline as he has also completed work on The Truth, Vipaka and The Last Stand.

As for director Daniels the Oscar nominated Precious was his last directorial outing but we will be seeing his new movie The Paperboy before The Butler hits the big screen.

The Butler is set for a 2013 release.
