Matt Damon has revealed that a script for a fourth Bourne movie is not yet complete.

The actor took on the role of Jason Bourne back in 2002, and it proved be a role that made his a star over the course of the trilogy.

But at the end of the Bourne Ultimatum, which was released to critical acclaim and huge box office success last year, Damon and filmmaker Paul Greengrass announced that they were putting the Bourne franchise behind them.

However the open ending to Ultimatum immediately ignited speculation that a fourth movie was possibly in the pipeline.

In an interview with Sci-Fi Wire Damon said: "None us have kind of seen [a script] yet, and Paul's [Greengrass] still cutting a movie that we worked on, so we'll get together and talk about it."

The actor went on to say that he would only reprise that role of Jason Bourne if the script was up to scratch.

But the end of the Bourne franchise didn't see the Damon/Greengrass partnership come to an end as the pair reunited for Green Zone, which is a thriller about a pair of CIA agents on the trail of certain Weapons of Mass Destruction and a foreign correspondent following their mission.
