Gareth Evans has hinted that the sequel to The Raid is going to be bigger.
Evans reunited with actor Iko Uwais for The Raid - a movie that bowled over critics and remains one of the best movies of 2012.
And a sequel is already in the pipeline, which would see Uwais reprise the character of Rama.
Speaking to Digital Spy the director: said: "It's very, very different from the first movie - the scale of it is much, much bigger.
"It's a lot more complex in terms of storyline and character this time.
"I felt like I couldn't get away with something as simplistic as we did in the first one, [which] was all in one building. We go out onto the streets with this one."
Berandal is set to be the name of the movie and follows Rama's career in the police force.
Production on the movie is set to get underway at the beginning of next year.
