Helen Mirren admits that she was nervous working with Anthony Hopkins on new movie Hitchcock.

The Oscar winners team up with play Alfred Hitchcock and Alma Reville in a biopic movie about the legendary filmmaker.

And while Mirren was nervous at first she says that it turned out to be a 'wonderful experience'.

Speaking to the Press Association the actress said: "First time, I was nervous as you can imagine.

"He's such a hugely iconic actor and so brilliant, but on the other hand, we both come out of theatre so we have that understanding between us.

"It turned out to be a really wonderful experience and luckily, I'm doing it again now in Red 2.

Hitchcock is directed by Sacha Gervasi and also stars Scarlett Johansson, Toni Collette and Jessica Biel.

And the pair will be reuniting for Red 2, which sees Mirren reprise the role of Victoria alongside Bruce Willis and John Malkovich.
