Hop

Hop

Hop has won a tight battle at the UK box office this weekend - just edging out Source Code for the number one spot.

The movie sees Russell Brand return to the big screen, his voice at least, as he teams up with James Marsden.

E.B., the Easter Bunny's teenage son, heads to Hollywood, determined to become a drummer in a rock 'n' roll band. In LA, he's taken in by Fred after the out-of-work slacker hits E.B. with his car.

The film took £1.39 million and just about fought off the tough competition from the latest movie from Jake Gyllenhaal.

Source Code is the first movie for Duncan Jones since his debut Moon and it took £1.306 million to narrowly miss on being #1.

Limitless dropped three places to this week's number three while Sucker Punch could only manage fourth.

The Eagle dropped two places from three to five while A Turtle's Tale: Sammy's Adventure was this week's biggest faller - down four places from two to six.

Rango and Unknown both dropped three places and finished the weekend at seven and eight. Anuvahood enjoyed a third week inside the top ten but dropped two to nine.

The Lincoln Lawyer rounded off the top ten down just a single place from last week's number nine.
