Lopez Treats Film Fans With Surprise Appearance
Jennifer Lopez gave fans at a pre-release screening of her new movie an extra special treat on Thursday night (22Apr10) - when she showed up to say hi.
The singer/actress was an unannounced special guest at The Grove screening of The Back-Up Plan in Los Angeles.
Devotees shrieked and screamed when the star stepped up to introduce the new movie, thanking the cinemagoers for filling the seats.
The Back-Up Plan is released in America on Friday (23Apr10).
Carla Bruni Cast In Woody Allen's Paris Film
Woody Allen has confirmed he has cast France's First Lady Carla Bruni in his latest movie.
The former model will join Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams, Michael Sheen and Oscar winners Marion Cotillard and Kathy Bates in Midnight in Paris.
The romantic comedy follows a family travelling to the city for business. The party includes a young engaged couple.
The movie is set to begin filming in Paris in July (10).
Polanski Loses New Appeal, Still Faces Sentencing In California
Moviemaker Roman Polanski has lost the latest round in his bid to fight extradition to America - where he faces sentencing for a three-decade-old sex crime.
An appeals court has ruled that the Oscar winner cannot be sentenced absentia in connection with the child sex case.
Polanski is currently under house arrest at his chalet in Gstaad, Switzerland.
In January (10), lawmakers ruled Polanski must return to California to be sentenced for having unlawful sex with 13-year-old Samantha Geimer at a party in 1977.
Earlier this week (ends23Apr10), a California appeals court denied his victim's petition for the dismissal of the case.
