It looks like Nicolas Cage could well be returning to Ghost Rider.
Earlier this year plans were afoot to go ahead with the sequel, surprised they are doing sequel after how dire the first movie was. but without the acting talents of Oscar winner Cage.
But now it sees that is all change as, according to Heat Vision, Cage is in the middle of negotiations to reprise the role ofJohnny Blaze.
David Goyer, who is a busy boy at the moment also writing a third Batman script, has been brought on board to bash out the screenplay while Crank filmmakers Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor could be on the verge of directing the project.
It's already been a busy year for Cage with the release of Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans and Michael Vaughn's Kick Ass.
And he has plenty of work in the pipeline with Season of The With and The Sorcerer's Apprentice, which is based on the Mickey Mouse section of Fantasia, and The Hungry Rabbit Jumps are yet to be released.
he is set to star in Drive Angry and lend his voice to The Croods while there is also talk of a third National Treasure movie.
