Paranormal Activity 4
Paranormal Activity 4 has ended the reign of Taken 2 at the U.S. box office as the supernatural thriller stormed to the #1 spot.
Paranormal Activity 4 comes hot off the heels of the third instalment which hit the bit screen this time last year.
Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman are in the director's chair once again and the movie took $30,2 million in the opening weekend.
Political thriller Argo, which is seeing director Ben Affleck being covered in praise, was a none mover at two while animation Hotel Transylvania was up one at number three.
Taken 2 fell three places this week to number four while Alex Cross, which sees Tyler Perry take over the title role, is the second and final new entry at five.
Sinister was also a three place faller this week as it dropped to six while Here Comes The Boom was down two at seven.
Pitch Perfect and Frankenweenie were also down two spots at eight and nine and former number one Looper rounded off the top ten at ten.
