Puss In Boots

Puss In Boots has toppled Paranormal Activity 3 from the top of the U.S. box office after just a week in the number one slot.

Puss In Boots is the first spin-off movie from Shrek and sees Antonio Banderas return as the swashbuckling cat.

Way before Puss ever met Shrek, our suave and furry feline hero goes on a swashbuckling ride, as he teams with mastermind Humpty Dumpty and the street-savvy Kitty to steal the famed Goose that lays the Golden Eggs.

The movie took $34 million in it's opening weekend to comfortably take the top spot.

Paranormal Activity 3 slipped just one place to this week's number two while In Time was a second new entry inside the top three.

The movie marks the return to the big screen for JustinTimberlake as he switches comedy for sc-fi.

Footloose drops a single place to four while the top five is closed out by The Rum Diary, the third and final new entry inside the top ten this week.

Real Steel was this week's biggest faller as it dropped four places from two to six while The Three Musketeer's was down three at seven.
