Rachel McAdams

Rachel McAdams wants to go back in time to watch her parents falling in love.

The star of upcoming movie love story The Time Traveller's Wife admits she'd love to spend some time in the 1950s and 1960s, prior to when she was born, so she could get to know her mum and dad before they were her folks.

She tells WENN, "This film made me think about going back in time and seeing people that you love, like, seeing my parents fall in love and seeing them as children. How fun that would be?"

In the film, based on a bestselling book by Audrey Niffenegger, McAdams plays a woman smitten with a timelord, played by Eric Bana.

The Time Traveler's Wife is the story of Clare, a beautiful art student, and Henry, an adventuresome librarian, who have known each other since Clare was six and Henry was thirty-six.

The pair were married when Clare was twenty-three and Henry thirty-one.

Impossible but true, because Henry is one of the first people diagnosed with Chrono-Displacement Disorder: periodically his genetic clock resets and he finds himself misplaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity in his life, past and future.

The Time Traveler's Wife is released 14th August.
