Rise of the Guardians

Rise of the Guardians has rose to the top of the UK box office and knocked Skyfall from the top spot.

The latest animation movie from Dreamworks has had a very successful second week on release as it took over £1.6 million.

Skyfall fell just a single place this week after returning to the #1 spot seven days ago.

The film took a further £1.4 million and is now closing in on a gross of £100 million at the UK box office.

Seven Psychopaths was the highest and only new entry inside the top ten this week as the black comedy opened at number three.

The movie marks the return to the director's chair for Martin McDonagh for the first time since In Bruges.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 dropped two places this week to number four and failed hit the million mark in its fourth week on general release.

Nativity 2: Danger In The Manger fell just a single place as it rounded off the top five.

There were also single place drops for Silver Linings Playbook and Great Expectations at six and seven.

And there were three none movers on the chart this week as Argo, End of Watch and Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted stayed put at eight, nine and ten.
