Sheridan Smith says she couldn't believe when she got the call to say that Dustin Hoffman wanted her in his movie Quartet.
The actress reveals that Hoffman came to see her in a play during the casting process which was another surreal moment.
Sheridan joins an all star cast that includes Maggie Smith and Billy COnnolly for the movie which is set in a retirement home for opera singers and musicians.
Sheridan was on the red carpet in London earlier this week for the premiere of the movie where she talked about acting alongside this cast:
And the cast list is an impressive one at that as Smith finds herself alongside Maggie Smith, Billy Connolly, Pauline Collins and Tom Courtenay.
Smith has mixed her acting roles this year as she has gone from TV projects to such as Mrs Biggs to movie roles such as Quartet and Tower Block.
