Tangled

Tangled has spent a second week at the top of the UK box office.

Tangled is the fiftieth animation movie for Disney and is based on the classic tale of Rapunzel.

It took a further £4.5 million this weekend to remain the UK's most popular movie. And there was no change at number two as The King's Speech held fast with £2.7 million.

The Oscar favourite has spent it's fifth week on the chart and has now grossed in excess of £25 million at the UK box office.

This week's highest new entry came in the form of the outstanding The Fighter, which could just see Christian Bale get his hands on an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.

The movie follows the life story of boxer "Irish" Mickey Ward and his trainer brother Dick Eklund, chronicling the brothers' early days on the rough streets of Lowell, Massachusetts through Eklund's battle with drugs and Ward's eventual world championship in London.

Taking £2.1 million in it's opening weekend The Fighter opened at number three while Black Sawn fell a single place to number four.

Sanctum 3D, which sees James Cameron on producing duties, was a second new entry in at number five.

The Mechanic dropped two places from four to six while A Little Bit of Heaven, the new movie from Kate Hudson, was new at seven.

Gulliver's Travels stayed at eight and Brighton Rock was fourth and final new entry inside the top ten this week at number nine.

The Green Hornet, which was at number ten, was this week's biggest faller as it was down four places from number six.
