The Possession

The Possession

The Possession has spent a second week at the top of the U.S. box office as there was no move in the top two.

The horror film took a further $9,5 million over the weekend to hold on to the top spot and the challenge from Lawless.

The gangster movie was the biggest rival to The Possession this week as it held onto second but couldn't really challenge for the #1 spot.

The Words, which stars Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana was the highest new entry this week as it opened at number three.

Former number one The Expendables 2 was down just a single place at number four while The Bourne Legacy was also down one as it rounded out the top five.

ParaNorman and The Odd Life of Timothy Green were also down one place a piece at six and seven while there was no move at number eight for comedy The Campaign.

The Dark Night Rises was a two place faller this week as it was down at nine and 2016: Obama's America was down a place at ten.
