Wes Craven found Scream 4 stressful.
The director is back to helm the fourth film in the horror franchise bit admits that it was a stressful process this time around.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly the filmmaker said: "I wept myself to sleep every night. No, of course it was stressful.
"I always prided myself on coming to the set with a shot list, but quite often we'd literally get pages the night before, sometimes the day of.
"That part was very stressful. [The script] was evolving - it evolved a lot."
But Craven admits that he tried to calm and controlled during the shoot.
"Somebody has to be! It's just the way I deal with the stresses. People depend on the captain not be freaking out."
Scream 4 has opened at number two at the U.S. box office this weekend, losing out on the top spot to Rio.
