Warner Bros. UK surprised DC fans today (October 5) with an extended 5-minute look at their upcoming film Aquaman, from director James Wan. You can check out the sizzle reel below, along with a gorgeous new piece of Trident artwork:
The clip shows Arthur Curry aka Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Mera (Amber Heard) working together to solve a puzzle, as well as offering a better glimpse at the underwater world of Atlantis, and some of the adversaries - including fan-favourite Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) and Orm aka Ocean Master (Patrick Wilson) - that the pair will be going up against.
The DC Worlds movie universe is one that has been under heavy scrutiny for a number of its entries, but it looked as though the solo film outings were finally making ground when Wonder Woman was released back in 2016.
Though Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League didn't fare too well in comparison, Momoa's Aquaman is still a film that plenty of people are excited about.
Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe also stars as Vulko, council to the Atlantean throne, alongside Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Ludi Lin as Captain Murk and Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry.
Aquaman hits cinemas across the UK on December 14, 2018.
