Jackass Forever has been in the pipeline for a while, and was supposed to release this year (2021), but was delayed to February 2022 due to the global pandemic. While the trailer for the movie looks even more chaotic than you could imagine, there is one thing missing: Bam Margera

Jackass was a popular MTV series before it became a film franchise; the first ever episode aired in 2000, and has grown ever since. The main cast includes Steve-O, Johnny Knoxville, the late Ryan Dunn, Chris Pontius, Preston Lacy, Dave England, and more. Of course, this group of daredevils used to include Margera, but it doesn’t seem as though he will be re-joining the Jackass family.

The Jackass crew are well-known for putting themselves in some very dangerous situations, from standing in a muddy field with a raging bull, to daring skate tricks, disgusting eating challenges and more.

Margera is reported to have had a boost of confidence in regard to his firing from Jackass 4, as the lawsuit he filed again Paramount, Jeff Tremaine, Knoxville and more has been approved to move forward. While this is good news for the former Jackass star, it may be bad news for fans as it could delay the film’s release even further.

When Jackass 4 was gearing up to begin production, in order for Margera to be included in the upcoming project, he must remain sober at all times. Many fans believe that Knoxville and Tremaine (among others) agreed upon this condition as a precaution to keep Margera safe.

Since the death of castmate and close friend, Ryan Dunn, Margera hasn’t been the same, reportedly. He took his friend’s death hard, and it seems that his other friends are simply worried about him.

The star’s involvement with substance abuse has been public knowledge for a while, and it was only a short amount of time before Margera was cut from the forthcoming Paramount project, as claims of him not sticking to the sober agreement were made.

As a result of him being fired from Jackass 4, Margera filed a lawsuit that states he was unfairly fired from the production and was forced to adhere to some strict rules.

Now, it is unclear how this case will end, or even if it will end positively. Margera still struggles with drug and alcohol issues, so it seems likely that he will have nothing to do with the Jackass brand for the foreseeable future, but that remains to be seen.

Jackass Forever will be in cinemas on February 4th, 2022.
