There’s now less than a month to go until the official cinema release of live-action Disney movie Beauty and the Beast, with fans excited and arguably a little nervous about how the classic Disney flick will translate when taken out of animation and into the real world.

Fortunately, the sneak peaks for the film released to-date have all proven themselves to be both exciting and reminiscent of the original, and now fans can another taste of what to expect with a brand new clip.

In the short 26-second video, we can hear Emma Thompson singing the brand new version of the movie’s titular track, having taken over from Angela Lansbury in the role of Mrs. Potts.

Of course many will say the original can’t be touched, and there are those who think the movie shouldn’t even have been considered in the first place, but when Lansbury isn’t in the role, we can’t imagine the song sounding much greater than it does with Thompson behind the vocals.

She’s masterful with her range, elegant and infectious. If this raw cut film is a taste of what’s to come from the movie, which will of course include a studio version perfected after hundreds of takes behind-the-scenes, Beauty and the Beast is going to be one of the most exciting and successful releases the cinema will see this year.

Beauty and the Beast comes to UK cinemas on March 17, 2017.
