Next month (January, 2022) will see the release of Scream, the fifth and highly-anticipated sequel from the popular horror franchise. Not only are the original trio of Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette reprising their iconic roles, but there are some fresh faces making their debut in the series...
Scream was first released in 1996, and quickly became a staple of the horror genre. Its intriguing characters and compelling narrative have carried it through the decades as a cinematic masterpiece.
Audiences will be reunited with Sidney (Campbell), Gale (Cox) and Dewey (Arquette) as they face another murderous threat but this time, all 'rules' have been thrown out of the window.
25 years after a string of barbaric murders terrified the otherwise quiet town of Woodsboro, a brand new killer has donned the Ghostface mask, and has begun to stalk a group of teens in order to resurrect secrets from the town’s deceptive past.
The new Scream cast includes Melissa Barrera, Kyle Gallner, Mason Gooding, Mikey Madison, Dylan Minnette, Jenna Ortega and Jack Quaid, with Jasmin Savoy Brown and Sonia Ammar. Marley Shelton also makes her return as Judy.
To whet the appetites of fans, a behind-the-scenes video has been revealed, in which Campbell, Cox and Arquette speak about the forthcoming movie and how it may impact audiences, as well as allowing the new blood to introduce themselves.
The original cast praise the newcomers in regard to casting and performance, which points to Scream being an outstanding movie.
“To see them bring a new perspective to the franchise while still honouring the past is really incredible...” teased Arquette.

Audiences are excited to see both old characters and new on the big screen, especially if the fifth instalment is the first chance they have had in witnessing the Scream franchise in cinemas.
Every cast member speaks about the upcoming feature with love, excitement, and bewilderment as the movie seems to be giving audiences a taste of the original films, while creating a new and exciting narrative that will, as the first movie did, create an awe-inspiring cinematic release.
Scream will be in cinemas on January 14th, 2022.
