Whether you know him as Mr. Robot, one of the characters in the brilliant PlayStation 4 title Until Dawn, or from somewhere else entirely, Rami Malek is as you’ve never seen him before in the second brilliant trailer for upcoming Queen movie, Bohemian Rhapsody. Taking on the role of the iconic Freddie Mercury, he joins the likes of Lucy Boynton, Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy, Joseph Mazzello, Aidan Gillen, Allen Leech, Tom Hollander and Mike Myers in the film; check out the fantastic new teaser below:

Tracing the rise of the band Queen through their earworm melodies and revolutionary sound, Bohemian Rhapsody will chronicle how Mercury’s lifestyle spiralled out of control at the height of his career, before he re-joined his bandmates on the eve of Live Aid, and helped put together one of the most memorable performances in rock history.

Having cemented a legacy that will far outlive any of us, Mercury and the rest of Queen did an impeccable job of breaking down barriers, going against the grain, and proving all of those who doubted them incorrect.

Inspiring those who dare to be different right up until this day, Bohemian Rhapsody looks to be the perfect reimagining of the life Mercury lived, and we can’t wait to check it out.

The movie has been through the gauntlet behind-the-scenes, originally kicking off production in London in September 2017 under director Bryan Singer. When he was fired for clashing with other crew members, it was Dexter Fletcher who was brought in to complete the job and sit in the director’s chair. Despite the change, Singer will still be the man to get directorial credit for the flick, due to a ruling from the Directors Guild of America, who stated only a sole director could receive credit.

Anthony McCarten worked on the screenplay for the movie, after putting together the story with Peter Morgan, whilst Graham King, Jim Beach, Robert De Niro and Peter Oberth joined Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor as producers.

Bohemian Rhapsody comes to cinemas across the UK on October 24, 2018, following on November 2, 2018 in the United States.
