There's less than a go to the release of Bridge of Spies and I cannot wait to see Tom Hanks back on the big screen.

Bridge of Spies

Bridge of Spies

I don't know about you, but I think that there has been a severe lack of Mr Hanks on our cinema screens in 2015... in fact, this is his first film since Saving Mr. Banks back in November 2013.

It is great to see him back and it looks like he will be getting his teeth into another meaty role. He is set to take on the real-life role of lawyer James B. Donovan, who was recruited by the CIA during the Cold War. See him in action in these great new clips:

As if having Hanks back on the big screen was not exciting enough, Bridge of Spies also marks the return of Steven Spielberg to the director's chair.

Bridge of Spies is the first film for Spielberg since Lincoln and the first time that he has teamed up with Hanks since The Terminal back in 2004 - this will be the fourth collaboration between the director and the actor.

Bridge of Spies is a movie that has been surrounded in Oscar whispers for some time and we may very well see Hanks in the race for Best Actor once again.

However, Bridge of Spies is not all about Hanks as Amy Ryan, Mark Rylance, and Alan Alda are just some of the other great names that are also on board.

Bridge Of Spies is a dramatic thriller which tells the story of James Donovan (Hanks), a Brooklyn insurance claims lawyer who finds himself thrust into the centre of the Cold War when the CIA sends him on the near-impossible task to negotiate the release of a captured American U-2 pilot.

I am a huge fan of the political thriller and Bridge of Spies looks like both Hanks and Spielberg are on top form.

Bridge of Spies is released 26th November.
