The Russo brothers - Anthony and Joe Russo - have returned to production roles for a brand new Netflix original film called Extraction, from director Sam Hargrave and starring Chris Hemsworth. Today (February 20th, 2020), three first look images from the upcoming release dropped, showing a sweaty Hemsworth as he battles to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international crime lord. Hemsworth's character, Tyler Rake is described as "a fearless black market mercenary with nothing left to lose". Though he's solicited to rescue this kidnapped child (played by Rudraksh Jaisawl), his life and that of the minor will change forever when the deadly mission approaches the impossible.

Hemsworth serves as a producer alongside the Russo brothers, as well as Mike Larocca, Eric Gitter and Peter Schwerin.

The cast also includes Randeep Hooda, Golshifteh Farahani, Pankaj Tripathi, Priyanshu Painyuli and David Harbour.

Extraction marks Hargreave's feature directorial debut, having served in the past as a stunt performer, as well as a stunt coordinator and second unit director on the Avengers movies Infinity War and Endgame.

With a behind-the-scenes team that surely already enjoy a well-rounded and fleshed out relationship, thanks to their work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we imagine the chemistry is at a high-point, so we're expecting big things!

Extraction launches exclusively on Netflix on April 24th, 2020.
