Director Clint Eastwood is somebody who has made a huge name for himself in the world of entertainment. This year, he’s making yet another return to the big screen with his latest project, The 15:17 To Paris, adapting the real-life story of three every day heroes who stopped a high speed railway ride from turning into a major tragedy. Check out a new video teasing the film and letting us all in on Eastwood’s vision when adapting the story below:
Back in the early evening of August 21, 2015, the world were stunned when media reports started to come in about an attempted terrorist attack on the Thalys train #9364 heading to Paris. Fortunately, three young Americans stepped in to save the day on their travels through Europe, stopping what could have been a mass murder.
Not only following those events, The 15:17 To Paris will delve into each of the three friends’ lives, from their childhood struggles right through to the moments they became heroes known in households across the globe.
In a unique and stunning move, the three real-life heroes – Anthony Sadler, Alek Skarlatos and Spencer Stone – will all be playing themselves in the film, starring alongside the likes of Jenna Fischer, Judy Greer, Ray Corasini, Tony Hale and Thomas Lennon. Younger versions of Anthony, Alek and Spencer are played by Paul-Mikél Williams, Bryce Gheisar and William Jennings respectively.
Dorothy Blyskal put together the screenplay for the movie, based on the book by Anthony Sadler, Alek Skarlatos, Spencer Stone and Jeffrey E. Stern, with Eastwood serving as director and producer. Tim Moore, Kristina Rivera and Jessica Meier also produce, with Bruce Berman as executive producer.
The 15:17 To Paris is set to hit cinemas nationwide on February 9, 2018 from Warner Bros. Pictures.
