Danny Boyle

Danny Boyle has revealed he loves filming in London and called working in the capital a 'privilege'.

The Oscar winning filmmaker is back in the director's chair with Trance - his first film since the critically acclaimed 127 Hours.

Boyle shot the movie in London and he was excited to discover things about the city all over again.

Speaking to the Press Association the director said: "I love filming here. I live here and it's a city I think I know, but there's always bits of it you don't.

"So going out and finding a location for a film is fantastic because you discover new parts.

"So it's very special to have the privilege of working here again."

The movie sees Boyle team up with actors James McAvoy, Rosario Dawson and Vincent Cassel as he tackles the crime/thriller.

Boyle is just one of the names that has been banded about to take over from Sam Mendes in the director's chair of Bond 24.

This is not the first time that Boyle has been tipped to direct a film in the Bond franchise but he has ruled himself out of the race.

Trance is released 27th March.
