Drone warfare is set to be a pretty big film topic in 2015, and the documentary genre is getting in on the act as well. A brand new poster for Drone has been revealed.

Drone

Drone

Drone is set to mark the return of Tonje Hessen Schei to the director's chair for the first time since Play Again back in 2010.

Schei is no stranger to the documentary genre with Play Again and Independent Intervention already under her belt - Drone will mark the third feature film of her directing career.

Drone covers diverse and integral ground: from the recruitment of young pilots at gaming conventions and the re-definition of 'going to war', to the moral stance of engineers behind the technology, the world leaders giving the secret 'green light' to engage in the biggest targeted killing program in history, and the people willing to stand up against the violations of civil liberties and fight for transparency, accountability and justice.

This is just the beginning. In the midst of fast advancement of technology and lagging international legislation, the film shows how drones change wars and possibly our future.

Drone promises to be one of the most engaging and interesting documentaries that we have seen so far this year, as the director aims to shed some light on this mysterious world - as well as bring a bit of understanding to the subject.

Little is known about drone warfare and this brand new movie looks set to pull back the veil on something we know so little about.

We have already been treated to a handful of terrified documentaries this year, and Drone is another that I really cannot wait to see.

Drone is released 10th April
