Straight from the creators of Wallace & Gromit comes Nick Park’s Early Man, featuring an all-star cast of talent lending their voice to proceedings such as Eddie Redmayne, Tom Hiddleston, Maisie Williams and Timothy Spall. This week, a new poster and trailer for the film has been revealed, which you can check out below:

Shot in the traditional and instantly-recognisable Aardman style, Early Man will take audiences back to a prehistoric time, introducing them to a cast of infectious characters from the Stone Age who face a challenge like no other when mighty Lord Nooth (Hiddleston) declares his ambition to take over their home with his Bronze Age City.

Dug (Redmayne) is a member of the tribe facing being wiped out, and teams with the likes of Chief Bobnar (Spall), Treebor (Richard Ayoade), Magma (Selina Griffiths), Asbo (Johnny Vegas), Eemak (Simon Greenall) and Grubup (Richard Webber) in the flick, with Maisie Williams’ rebellious character Goona also helping the tribe out in their battle against the Bronze Age.

Rob Brydon also joins the cast as Message Bird, described as “an ingenious Bronze Age communication device”, along with Kayvan Novak as Dino and Miriam Margolyes as Queen Oofeefa, the ruler of the Bronze Age world.

A fun little piece of marketing also saw a competition run on Blue Peter, which invited viewers to create their own prehistoric character inspired by the film. A winner hasn’t been publicly yet announced, but they’ll be revealed in January and their character will be brought to life as part of the movie.

Early Man comes to cinemas across the UK on January 26, 2018.
