The 31-year-old actress and Henry have both been cast in Universal's 'Last Christmas', which will see the latter be reunited with Paul, having recently worked together on 'A Simple Favor'.

The upcoming screenplay has been penned by Emma Thompson and Bryony Kimmings, but details about the plot remain scarce, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Paul will also produce the film through his Feigco Entertainment company, with Emma and David Livingstone also serving as producers.

Henry, 31, has recently emerged as one of the up-and-coming stars in Hollywood, having made his feature film debut in 'Crazy Rich Asians'.

Despite this, the Malaysian actor has insisted he doesn't want to be "defined as the Asian leading man".

He said: "I don't want to be defined as the Asian leading man. I want to be the leading man. Henry Golding.

"If it means helping inspire other Asians to be leading men, hell yeah, I'll take it. You don't know how proud I am to have that associated with my name.

"Sadly, we're so underrepresented that we have to start with these labels to be proud of it, to normalise it. So s**t, I'll be the next Asian leading man."

Henry also revealed he is keen to branch out with other movie genres in the future.

He explained: "I don't want to get stuck in romantic comedy. I love these modern dramas, but when I'm in make-believe, I want to be beyond that of this reality."
