Ethan Hawke has heaped praise on Lena Headey saying that he has never worked with anyone better.
Hawke and Headey play husband and wife in new horror movie The Purge - which follows a family who are held hostage during a 12 hour period where any crime can be committed.
Hawke is working with Headey for the first time on the movie and he admits that he loved working with her.
Speaking to HeyUGuys the actor said: "She is a firecracker. I just think she is one of the most underrated actresses working today.
"There is rarely a woman as fierce as that who is also as beautiful as that. I’ve never worked with anybody better than Lena, she is the real deal.
James DeMonaco is back in the director's chair for the movie for the first time since he made his debut with Staten Island back in 2009.
The Purge kicks off a busy year for Hawke as we are going to be seeing him in Before Midnight and Getaway.
The actor is currently working on Predestination, which sees him team up with directors Michael and Peter Spierig.
The Purge is released 31st May.
